The air-conditioning systems provide distribution of fresh air and extract of exhaust air, covering the heat loss in winter and heat gains in summer, and in selected spaces also humidification in the winter season. In the theoretical part of the thesis, I focused on the basic acoustic quantities and spatial acoustics.
Cooperation of heat pump with passive solar system
Bohůn, Vojtěch ; Králová, Zuzana (referee) ; Mastný, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with alternative energy sources – a solar system and a heat pump. Their operation is energy-advantageous and they can be efficiently connected in one system. The focus of this thesis is firstly to give an overview of kinds, function, properties, constructional elements and usual arrangements of active and passive solar systems and heat pumps in connection with heating of buildings, secondly to suggest a connection of a combined heating system with a heat pump and of a passive solar system and to evaluate it from an energetic and economic point of view. Firstly, a basic theory for calculation of quantity of electrical energy absorbed by a surface is introduced. Then, a categorization and construction of active and passive systems are presented. Hereafter, advantages and disadvantages of single solar systems are described and basic calculation relations for determination of a heat gain and of proportions of passive solar systems are showed. Subsequently, the function of a heat pump is analyzed, the categorization of its kinds according to the relevant criteria is given and its basic functional elements, typical properties and means of possible use are described. On the basis of gained knowledge, conditions of cooperation of a heat pump with a passive solar system are summarized and substantiated. According to these conditions and to the construction of an object, a combined system is designed for, a connection of a system with a heat pump air / water, a heat accumulator and a recuperative unit is constructed. Consequential calculations evaluate energetic needs of an object and heat gains of a passive solar system. They serve as a basis for a concept of heat source and for determination of an energy balance. A total annual heat need is 13914,7 kWh. It was compared with the case when the object was equipped with standard-size windows. The comparison shows that a passive solar system can spare roughly one third of total annual heat consumption. From the measurement on the object is determined, when a passive solar system is able to supply a heat pump with heat. After that, the suggested system is evaluated from an economic point of view: it is compared with other possible heat sources by the method of net present value. It can be said that solid fuel firing and gas firing are economically more advantageous than the use of a heat pump. The reasons are particularly high initial costs and in case of wood firing also its low price. In conclusion, the gained results are summarized.
Optimization of air conditioning of the ice stadium
Zach, Daniel ; Rubinová, Olga (referee) ; Blasinski, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis is divided into three parts: theoretical, calculation and experimental measurement. The issue of humid air and air-conditioning in winter stadiums is elaborately analysed in the theoretical part. In the calculation part, the dessertation focuses on the optimization of current draft of hockey hall air conditioning system. The hall is now in operation during the season, which means from September to March. In the dissertation are discussed two variants of the draft. The first variant is draft upgrade to year-round operation with condensing dehumidification. The second option is solved as a combination of air handler unit system and absorption dehumidification. This variant is also designed for seasonal and year-round operation of the ice rink. At the end of the dissertation are all of them compared in terms of annual costs. The experimental measurement is carried out on dehumidification of air from areas with high water gains, in this case swimming pool hall model. This problematics is solved by changing the speed of ventilator and using Peltier generator.
Air heating in the sport hall
Janková, Martina ; Ell, Jiří (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The main goal of the bachelor’s thesis „name“ is designing an air conditioning device for a sport hall and its social facilities. A solution must fulfill functional, hygienic and operational requirements for the specific microclimate of sport halls. The device is designed to cover heat losses in winter as well as for cool down heat gains during summer. At the beginning a microbiological and an aerosol microclimate in an air conditioning are considered. In the next part of the thesis the required performance of the device is calculated. In the third part is the documentation of both devices is attached.
Airconditioning of the passive house
Voleš, Jakub ; Uher, Pavel (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis is the concept of the air-conditioning and cooling system for the residential rooms of the two-storeyed house. The technical solution respects functional, hygienic and operational demands on the internal microclimate. The main functional requirement of the air-conditioning system is compensation of the heat losses and the annual inflow of the necessary minimum of the fresh air. The theoretical part of the thesis is concerned about acoustics and it’s connection with air-conditioning. Firstly, the text introduces what is sound from the physical point of view, characteristics and it’s impact on the physiology of the humans. At the end of the theoretical part are mentioned the sources of sound and it’s spreading through the system. Finally, the methods leading to the reduction in harming acoustics effects are presented. The result of the computational part is the design of the air-conditioning unit, the piping and the other components; also the concept of the direct cooling at the summer period. The project part containes the technical report, the attachements and the project documentation for realization.

Bioreactor monitoring and control for optimal heat gain
Hujňák, Jan ; Bajko, Jaroslav (referee) ; Baxant, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with thermal energy generation in biodegradation processes, monitoring and control of these processes. In the theoretical part, it gives a brief overview of biodegradation processes, then focuses only on processes in which waste heat is produced. Mainly it focuses on the composting process, its stage, the ideal composition of the composting material, the composting methods, the control quantities and the metering devices. The practical part focuses on the improvement of the original bioreactor and the subsequent realization of the new bioreactor. The bioreactor is subsequently monitored using temperature sensors that describe the ongoing processes inside the compost using measured temperatures. The aim of the bachelor thesis is to connect the bioreactor with yurt, to realize thermal circulation and to control this circulation through the AMiNi system in order to achieve optimal heat recovery without negative effects on the course of biodegradation processes inside the bioreactor.
Air-conditioning system of a typical floor of A1 building
Pekárek, Antonín ; Charvát, Pavel (referee) ; Krejčí, Vladimír (advisor)
Master thesis deals with designing of air-conditioning system into newly reconstructed high-rise building of Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Brno University of Technology. Reconstruction of a building results in change of thermo-technical parameters which impacts dimensioning of air condition system. Designing air-conditioning system depends on heat loss and heat gain calculation and also on consequential psychometrical calculations. The size of air conditioning equipment which provides required internal microclimate will be determined from the calculation results. Currently there is Detail design elaborated including technical report and material specification.
